I know how you feel with doing phyical therapy. I dislocated my kneecap in 8th grade and mised half the season. Then, in the fall of 9th grade i did it again and had to get surgery. I missed my whole freshman season and it took around 1 1/2 years to get back to top shape. My injury was kind of a blessing in disguise. My freshman coach let me go to practice every day and i shot every day. Now i have a very good 3-point shot and I start varsity going into my Junior year and i play AAU. I am the best shooter on both teams. So i hope your injury can be a blessing in disguise like mine. Good Luck!

I kind of know what you are going through as I share a similar injury as you(dislocated ankle which required microfracture surgery and ligament repair). I hope the tendinitis is all cleared up by now. I'm glad that you've been able to find positives out of this whole ordeal. You said that you have been able to watch some of the elite point guards in the lead and have been able to dissect the game from an outside perspective. I believe that is only going to help you when you return. You already have the abilities and natural instinct but paying attention to the details and being able to hone your craft will take you to the next level. I know that this season has been a drag for all of you guys because of the injuries and the record (as it has been for the fans) but you'll all be healthy next season. Just keep working hard, and anything that you feel may be a weakness in your game, practice and make it a strength. That's what the greats do and you definitely have it in you to be one of the greats. I'm a be real I was smiling for the whole game, just a big giant grin. It was great to have him back out there on the floor for us. Your time will come too Shaun. You better believe that Clipper Nation will rally around your return as well. Take this time to be thankful that your knee and its stability is excellent and that a full return is near. I know that you're interested in playing in the summer league games this year. That's going to be fun for you to be back on the court and it'll also be great to see Al out there with you. Get some chemistry with him so that when the season starts you know all your teammates sweet spots and have that smooth flow with them. Keep working hard. Keep improving. Try to build up the strength in the offseason and work on the jumper so that when you come back it's lights out shooting, insane passes and about 55-60 wins. Keep doing you.

Through rehab and hard work, I have been able to recooperate. It has been 8 months since my surgery and I'm back to ballin again. We both know that the pain was indescribable and hopefully we will never have to experience it again. Hi Shaun. I tried contacting you back when your injury 1st happened. I too tore my ACL, PCL & MCL. But not the knee cap. I went to a great Dr from the Nebraska cornhusker team and they used a patellar tendon for my ACL & a cadaver achilles tendon for my PCL. I know the Dr you went to is the best due to my physical therapy background, but I also know through experience your injury was profound. My knee was not bending well or going straight. But the best thing that I found was the "Hot Yoga Bikrams". Also mediation. The man that developed Bikrams yoga did so because of a weight lifting injury at the age of 18 to his knees. I believe with modern day technology, faith, hope and determination you will succeed. I also know through many other challenges in life it is best to have options. My friend I leave you with many blessings for the coming year of health and healing for you knee, mind and life.

He has worked with many other athletes in dealing with injuries, and particularly nutritional improvement in prevention of injuries. He has natural methods to strengthen bones, ligaments, muscles, etc. His "Healthline" radio program is heard across the country. If you are able to get in touch with him, you will more than likely find the nutritional information to be valuable not only to recovery but for your body on and off the court. I'm going to be following your comeback a little more closely than I might have otherwise. I just had the surgery on Friday for my PCL/MCL reconstruction. Now I'm doing the month long couch ride. Hopefully you'll be playing for the Celts game February 6th. I'm going to try to make it to that one. I'll just tell them I need a nice front row seat to put my leg up...It could happen! Actually, I have a good connection through my sister's boss, so we'll see.
